On Tuesday, March 21, Madison Bepko was invited to a Mayoral event at the Pioneer Museum, but little did she know she would be presented the Daniels Scholarship by Mayor John Suthers.
The Daniels Scholarship awards full-ride scholarships to "students with great potential, strong character, and big dreams" so they can attend any two or four year college in the United States. Since it's first year in 2000, the scholarship has been awarded to less than 5,000 applicants. Maddie was only one from a handful of Colorado seniors chosen to receive the scholarship.
If you know Maddie, you know she is a strong leader, a kind friend, and a positive presence everywhere she goes. She's made an impact on DCC though activities like National Honor Society, Cheer, and Student Senate. We're so proud of Maddie, not only for the work she put in to receive this scholarship, but who she is to her fellow students and the community of DCC.
